Frank and George are our two rescue kitties. We have had Frank for just over a year. He's an old boy that's had quite a hard life. He loves nothing better than snuggling up and will happily follow you around all day. He likes a nice warm spot in front of the fire and as much human contact as he can get.

We got him whilst I was doing my degree and home a lot, and he's not really been happy since we are now mostly out working full time.
Frank has had skin conditions since before we got him, and when he was rescued he was in a very poor condition. He still has various allergies, and the latest one we have found was to the type of cat litter we were using. Anyway, in addition to his normal conditions, because he was by himself a lot, he started over grooming, which we put down to some separation anxiety. We decided to get him a new friend so that he wouldn't be alone all day.
We originally wanted a little old lady cat to keep him company, but we found sad George, George has big sad eyes - a bit like the cat from Shrek. He's only about 2, which is quite young for Frank but apparently he's a sad sack who just likes to find a spot to curl up in and sleep. We thought that they would benefit from curling up together.
It turns out that George might have just been a bit depressed. We have had him a week (as of 21/11/14) and the change in him is immense!
At first he was a little shy but now he's funny and lively and completely skitty. As of yet, Frank isn't overly impressed with him, but he doesn't seem to mind him too much either. He's grudgingly accepting him, but he does get a bit jealous when George is getting attention.
George is occasionally an asshole. Like when he stalks Fred the goldfish, or attacks a loaf of bread because it crinkles. He goes mad for catnip and loves to play. He's still settling in and we're just getting to see what his personality will be like, but it looks like he will be very entertaining. I'm hoping that eventually they will come to be friends, although at this point I'm not holding my breath!
This blog is just so I can capture the adventures of our two beautiful fur babies as they get to know each other and share our lives.
